See the world with new sharpness and clarity

The use of new specialized, high quality glass materials that offer greater optical transmittance are used in the new model A032 to ensure superior color reproduction and even greater sharpness. The A032 lens comprises 17 glass elements in 12 groups, including: 2 XR (Extra Refractive Index) glass elements to counteract optical aberrations; 3 LD (Low Dispersion) elements to minimize axial chromatic aberrations that can occur with telephoto, as well as transverse chromatic aberrations that can be an issue with wide-angle; 3 GM (glass-molded aspherical) elements; and 1 hybrid aspherical lens element that effectively neutralizes spherical aberrations and distortions to create superior image quality. Thanks to a combination of these special glass materials, the A032 achieves previously unseen levels of accurate color reproduction and depictive performance

eBAND Coating dramatically curbs ghosting and flare

The new A032 features Tamron’s original eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) Coating, a technology that combines an extremely-low-refractive-index nano-structured layer with conventional multiple-layer coating techniques to provide superior anti-reflection performance. The optimal application of this eBAND Coating in combination with Tamron’s BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) Coating successfully and substantially curbs the ghosting and flare that can occur when photographing backlit subjects.

Equipped with the new dual MPU (micro-processing unit) control system*3

The A032 zoom features a new control system that uses a dual MPU (micro-processing unit) process. In addition to an MPU with built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor) blocks for superior signal processing, Tamron has added an MPU dedicated solely to vibration compensation . The result is quicker, more precise AF performance and more consistently powerful VC (Vibration Compensation).

*3 A new control system using two high-performance MPUs (micro-processor units)

Dramatically improved autofocus accuracy and speed

The A032 is equipped with its own MPU (micro-processor unit), with embedded DSP (digital signal processing) blocks that enable high-speed digital signal processing, achieving both excellent responsiveness to signals from the camera and high-precision AF performance.

The highest vibration compensation (VC) levels in its class

The new A032 zoom lens is equipped with Tamron’s original VC (Vibration Compensation) system. With the addition of an MPU specially dedicated to VC processing, the A032 offers the highest vibration compensation available,*1 with CIPA image stabilization performance level of 5 stops.*2 Now you can enjoy jitter-free handheld shooting and more flexibility—even in low light conditions.

*1. Among 24-70mm F/2.8 interchangeable lenses for DSLR cameras (as of May, 2017; Tamron)
*2. CIPA Standard Compliant. For Canon:EOS-5DMKIII is used. For Nikon:D810 is used.

High Performance Features behind Every Design Aesthetic

Our attention to every engineering detail has yielded the most advanced optical and electro-mechanical design featured in the newest Tamron SP lenses, culminating in a new benchmark for high performance and visual elegance.

The design philosophy is based on human touch and is an integral factor in macro photography. The newly designed all-metallic barrel features an embedded concave ring at the base of the lens – for a firm hold and comfort necessary for a steady shot.

Switches are larger and reconfigured for smoother torque and the typeface has been redesigned for intuitive legibility.

18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD

Category:All-In-One Zoom Tags :

All that potential, in the palm of your hand. The light and compact lens packs a 15x zoom punch.

In addition to being a compact and lightweight lens with 15x magnification, the Tamron 18-270mm high-power zoom lens boasts the PZD (Piezo Drive) internal autofocus drive, a standing wave ultrasonic motor system. Agile performance is virtually guaranteed with an unshakeable VC (Vibration Compensation). All that, and with a Φ62mm filter diameter and weighing in at 450g, this lens is the cumulation of uncompromising research and development to make a lightweight, compact, all-in-one super zoom lens. The trailblazing PZD delivers smooth, quick autofocus. Combined with VC, this is a winning partnership delivering clear, stable shots even in low light or at the telephoto end. Easing your ability to capture clean, clear images of high resolution. The result: express yourself without limits. Whether you are toting it to a casual picnic or an off-road mountain biking expedition, we have engineered a high-powered zoom lens that's not only versatile but also light and compact.

A lightweight, compact lens with a high 15x zoom ratio

From wide to telephoto, this 15x high-power zoom lens covers a vast focal range and comes in a light, compact package. At the telephoto end, the 18-270mm is ideal for sports shots or when using distance to capture wildlife in habitat or natural expressions on subjects who normally would be overly conscious of the camera. Whether on vacation or in your own back yard, the wide end gives you the tools to shoot expansive landscapes. Every angle for photographic expression is all in one lens that delivers sharp, clear photos.

The lens construction comprises 13 groups and 16 elements. Use of the hybrid aspherical lens with low dispersion glass has helped achieve a compact design and improved optical performance. Also, Tamron's unique PZD autofocus drive and the VC mechanism is contributing to downsizing.

Super smooth and accurate PZD

The PZD piezoelectric drive is an internal standing wave ultrasonic motor system. Innovations to reduce parts and simplify operation also contributed to the lens's reduced size and weight. Lighter and smaller than other autofocus drives, the piezoelectric drive uses a standing wave, instead of the traditional traveling wave, to turn and extend the piezoelectric element. Thus the entire element moves in a standing wave pattern, moving the metal tip (the contact surface) in an elliptic motion. The friction of this movement moves the rotor for a smooth, precise autofocus.

VC (Vibration Compensation)

With VC, the photographer can shoot at a shutter speed up to four stops slower.
*Images shot with 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD (Model B008)
VC (Vibration Compensation) is Tamron's proprietary image stabilization system. It employs three driving coils that electromagnetically activate a shake-compensating VC lens group. Since the VC lens elements are held in place only by three ceramic ball bearings, there is smooth movement with little friction. Even when shooting long-range or under low light, the viewfinder image remains stable and tracking response is excellent.

Minimum object distance of 0.49m (19.3 in) with macro capability 1:3.8

The minimum object distance is 0.49m (19.3 in) through the entire zoom range and with a macro capability of 1:3.8 allows you to enjoy serious, high-quality macro photography with unaccustomed convenience. With an optical system designed exclusively for optimum performance on DSLR cameras with APS-C size image sensors, the angular coverage range of this lens is impressive. And even though it has built-in VC, it still delivers a close minimum focus across the entire zoom range. From macro to telephoto this is a lens worthy of your creativity. Light, compact, smooth, and accurate at every angle.

* APS-C size image sensors are smaller than the 35mm film format. This lens can produce full-screen images of almost the same scale (approx. 3.15 in x approx. 2.17 in) as those taken with a 35mm format camera with a lens of maximum zoom ratio of 1:2.5.

Cleaner, crisper images without flare or ghosting

The BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings reduce the lens reflection and dispersion that cause ghosting and flare. The coatings enhance light transmission in both the short and long wavelength ranges, ensuring excellent performance in all photographic conditions. Additionally, internal surface coatings are applied to cemented surfaces of all lens elements to deliver sharp, high-contrast images and flawless color reproduction.

Equipped with Fluorine Coating for protection and safe cleaning

The front surface of the lens element is coated with a protective Fluorine Coating that is water- and oil-repellant. The lens surface is easier to wipe clean and is less vulnerable to the damaging effects of dirt, dust, moisture and fingerprints.

28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD

Category:All-In-One Zoom Tags :

An Exceptional All-In-One Zzoom For Full-Frame DSLRs

Since the launch of its first versatile high-performance, high-power zoom, the 28-200mm ( Model 71D ) in 1992, Tamron has continued to expand its long-range zoom portfolio. In response to the growing popularity of full-frame digital SLR cameras, Tamron has launched a new, full-frame, high-power zoom incorporating PZD ( Piezo Drive ), a standing-wave ultrasonic motor system optimized for swift, quiet autofocus, along with the acclaimed VC ( Vibration Compensation ) mechanism plus a new upscale cosmetic design and finish.

This all-in-one™ 28-300mm lens delivers superb image quality in a remarkably compact, lightweight package, and is the fruit of Tamron's program of extensive technological development over the years.

State-of-the-art optical design technology delivers superior image quality

The advanced optical construction of this lens includes four elements of LD (Low Dispersion) glass, three Molded-Glass Aspherical elements, one Hybrid Aspherical element, one XR (Extra Refractive Index) glass element, and one element of UXR (Ultra-Extra Refractive Index) glass, which has greater refractive index than XR. The full use of specialized glass elements in its design contributes to making this outstanding lens as compact and lightweight as possible, while minimizing aberrations, resulting in superior image quality.

Three Molded-Glass Aspherical elements incorporated in advanced optical design

Through the effective application of aspherical technology, one lens element can take the place of multiple elements without compromising performance. This is what allows us to produce remarkably compact long-range lenses that deliver a uniformly high level of image quality at all focal lengths and apertures. Molded-Glass Aspherical elements reduce aberrations particularly well when employed as the first element in the second group. Moreover, making elements thinner and reducing the front element diameter contribute to achieving more compact lenses.

Molded-Glass Aspherical elements require high-level manufacturing technologies, and larger elements are more difficult to produce, but we have refined these technologies to yield outstanding results.

UXR glass element with greater refractive index than XR used for the first time.

No matter how high-performance the lens is, it won't satisfy requirements as a lens suitable for day-to-day use if it is overly large and heavy. With this all-in-one™ zoom lens, Tamron worked to achieve impressive compactness while endowing it with high imaging performance and enhanced operability with features such as upgraded autofocus.

For that reason, this lens also incorporates a UXR (Ultra-Extra Refractive Index) glass element with a greater refractive index than even the XR glass elements that contributed to the compactness of previous Tamron all-in-one™ zoom lenses.Placing a UXR glass element at the front of the lens achieves a smaller front lens diameter. In addition, placing an XR glass element at an optimal location allows the lens to be lighter and more compact than the existing Tamron 28-300mm (Model A20) lens.

Four LD glass elements used in this advanced optical design

LD glass elements are positioned as the second and third elements in the first group to reduce chromatic aberrations at the telephoto end of the zoom range.

Effects of the LD glass elements would be even more effective if they were placed in the front group, but that would have required larger elements, thus making it much more difficult to achieve consistent quality in production. Even so, top-quality glass elements are used in abundance to achieve the best possible image quality over the entire focal range resulting in a versatile zoom lens suitable for a wide range of subjects.

Focus on portability
The lens is now even smaller and lighter

In addition to state-of-the-art optical design that facilitates downsizing of the lens body, the mechanical design, which incorporates a highly sophisticated multi-stack-cam layout that takes up far less space, and PZD (Piezo Drive), an autofocus drive system with a simpler, more compact structure, has made it possible to reduce the overall dimensions of this lens.

Upgraded cosmetic design
Elegant tungsten silver brand ring

Employing a sophisticated linear pattern rubber grip on the zoom and focus rings and an elegant tungsten silver brand ring, this newly-designed model accentuates its visceral presence with understated elegance and class.

Powerful 10.7x all-in-one™ zoom provides incredible shooting flexibility

The lens covers an extended zoom range from 28mm wide-angle, to normal, to 300mm telephoto. It is a lightweight compact lens great for day-to-day use.

Circular diaphragm facilitates achieving spectacular blur effects

Using a nearly circular diaphragm makes it easy for users to achieve spectacular background blur effects that enable creative use of depth of field.

Advanced anti-reflection coating

The application of BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings for suppressing reflections on lens element surfaces minimizes unwanted flare and ghosting to deliver sharp, crisp, high-contrast images.

Moisture-resistant construction for outdoor shooting

Moisture-resistant construction helps prevent moisture from penetrating the lens.

PZD (Piezo Drive) delivers faster, quieter autofocus action

The PZD (Piezo Drive) provides noticeably faster, quieter autofocus action, allowing users to capture spontaneous moments in crisp images and to continue to shoot even when quiet operation is required. The full-time manual focus system enables fine focus adjus™ents to be made during autofocus shooting without having to change the focus mode beforehand.

18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD

Category:All-In-One Zoom Tags :

Go to extremes with the world’s first* 22.2x ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom.

Introducing the world’s first ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom lens for the APS-C format. With a focal length range of 18-400mm and 22.2x zoom, it has an ultra-telephoto range equivalent to 620mm in the 35mm format. This brings distant subjects closer, while providing perspective-flattening effects that are only possible with an extreme telephoto lens. Plus it offers exceptional optical performance across the entire zoom range—from wide angle to ultra-telephoto. With this new lens—and its Moisture-Resistant Construction—Tamron brings the art of photography to the joy of travel. Now you can use the same lens to shoot everything from stunning landscapes and neon-lit cities to detailed portraits and delicate flora. The ultra-telephoto range makes it just as easy to photograph animals and sports. And with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9, you can even enjoy tele-macro photography.

Experience amazing focal length range and exceptional optical performance

Introducing the world’s first ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom with a focal length range of 18mm to 400mm. Now you can shoot everything from vast landscapes to the details on a bird with a single lens. The latest optical design includes elements such as LD (Low Dispersion) glass and aspherical lens. Moreover, problems like chromatic aberration and distortion are controlled throughout the entire zoom range, resulting in sharp, superior images—whether you’re shooting at wide-angle or telephoto. The lens also features a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9 so you can enjoy tele-macro photography.

620mm capability, compact size

Until now, shooting at ultra-telephoto ranges meant carrying large interchangeable lenses. Thanks to the all-in-one zoom technology developed by Tamron, you can travel with a single lens that’s 4.8 in long and weighs only 24.9 oz.* Experience the thrill of shooting with compact equipment that makes it easy to capture ultra-telephoto images.

* Length and weight are based on the Nikon-mount lens

Three cams. One smooth zoom.

Our ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom includes an all-new barrel design. By distributing complex movements across three cams, Tamron has ensured that all zoom extensions are smooth and easy.

Highly precise. Conveniently compact.

Tamron’s exclusive HLD (High/Low torque-modulated Drive) saves power while providing superior drive. It focuses accurately and quietly while adjusting the motor’s rotation from low to high speeds, enabling smooth autofocusing. HLD let us design a space-saving AF module, for a sleeker barrel and reduced overall lens size.

Sharp, solid telephoto shots

Tamron’s VC (Vibration Compensation) technology stabilizes the image in the viewfinder, so you can frame your subject and shoot a sharp image̶even at ultra-telephoto ranges and in poorly lit conditions.

Tamron wows the world again with our ultra-telephoto all-in-one-zoom

In 1992, all-in-one zoom lenses were known for their heavy weight, bulky size and mediocre performance. Tamron revolutionized the industry by creating a lightweight, compact, high-performance “all-in-one zoom lens” that was perfect for everyday use. It launched to worldwide acclaim, cementing Tamron’s role as a pioneer in the “all-in-one zoom lens” category. Whereas the zoom magnification was 7.1x in 1992, it has increased to 22.2x for the Model B028 which is the world’s first* to achieve 400mm at the telephoto end. With its advanced optical system, compact lens barrel, high-precision cam configurations and VC, the B028 introduces the next level of Tamron innovation: the “ultra-telephoto all-in-one zoom lens.”
